A mobility machine has to fit your body, your home and your daily routine. If it does not, send it back within 30 days of delivery and we will refund you in full, we pay the return freight and we never charge a restocking fee. This applies to brand new, ex-demo, refurbished and pre-owned machines alike.

Tell us within 30 days
Email sales@accessmobilityscooters.co.za or WhatsApp +27 82 553 9017 with your order number and a one-line reason. No forms to print, no interrogation, “it is not right for me” is a valid reason.

We book the collection
Gauteng collection happens within 2 business days using our own crew. Nationwide collections are arranged with our freight partner, and we pay the return freight. You do not need to box anything.

Inspection within 24 hours
We inspect the machine against its delivery photographs and its serial number. If everything matches, we approve the refund immediately, even for pre-owned units with their original cosmetic wear.

Refund in 5 business days
EFT refunds reflect within 5 business days of inspection. Card refunds are reversed to the same card, and cash-on-collection purchases are refunded by EFT or in cash at the showroom, your choice.

Delivery fees are refunded as well when the whole order is returned, except where you cancelled a scheduled delivery that had already dispatched.
What we cannot refund
- Damage caused by misuse, overloading above the rated user weight, or riding through deep water.
- Unauthorised repairs, or fitting a non-approved charger or battery pack.
- Normal wear on tyres, upholstery, brake pads and fuses.
- Consumable hygiene items that have been used (for example opened cushions and commode parts).
- Machines returned dirty, missing parts, or with serial numbers removed or altered.
None of these exclusions reduce your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. If a machine is defective, unsafe or not as described, we repair, replace or refund it regardless of how long you have had it.
Returns vs warranty claims
Return: you no longer want the machine, for any reason, within 30 days. We collect it and refund you in full.
Warranty claim: the machine develops a fault within 30 days or 12 months. We repair it free of charge, including collection and return freight nationwide. You keep the machine and pay nothing.
Damaged in transit: photograph the damage and tell us within 48 hours of delivery. Everything is insured, and we replace the machine or the damaged part at no cost to you.
Cooling-off and distance selling
Under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 you may cancel an order placed online without reason within 7 days of receiving the goods, and we refund within 30 days. Our own 30-day policy is deliberately longer and more generous than the legal minimum.
Machines returned after 30 days are handled case by case: we will always offer a trade-in or a consignment sale rather than simply saying no. Spare parts, batteries and accessories carry the same 30-day window if unopened and unused, and refurbished batteries carry the additional 6-month capacity warranty.
