Terms & Conditions

The terms that govern purchases, quotations, demos and use of www.accessmobilityscooters.co.za.

Last updated 8 January 2026 · Access Mobility Scooters (Pty) Ltd · Co. reg 2019/447120/07 · VAT 4890271553

1. Agreement

By placing an order or booking a service with Access Mobility Scooters (Pty) Ltd on https://www.accessmobilityscooters.co.za you agree to these terms. They must be read together with our Return & Refund Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, Warranty Policy and Privacy Policy.

2. Product descriptions and condition grading

Second-hand mobility machines are graded honestly. Each listing states the condition (New, Ex-Demo, Refurbished or Pre-Owned), the cosmetic grade, what was replaced during our 72-point refurbishment, and the warranty length.

  • Grade A: near-flawless cosmetic condition, no visible marks under normal use.
  • Grade B: light scuffs or fading consistent with careful previous use, fully mechanically refurbished.
  • Grade C: clearly used cosmetics (faded panels, scratches), mechanically sound and fully serviceable.

3. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract exists only once we confirm the order by email or WhatsApp and payment reflects. We may decline an order if the item sold in-store at the same time; in that case you receive a 100% refund immediately, plus R250 as a goodwill credit.

4. Consumer protection

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, including your right to cancel an online order within the cooling-off period and to receive goods that are safe, correctly described and fit for purpose.

5. Safe use and responsibility

Mobility scooters and power wheelchairs are medical-adjacent devices. Never exceed the rated user weight, always use the correct charger, and follow the operating guide supplied with the machine. Machines must not be driven on public roads where prohibited, and users must remain within sight of a caregiver if clinically advised.

6. Liability and governing law

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and the courts of Gauteng have jurisdiction.
